The most sinister frownsmiler of all? Or maybe just the most vacuous?
However you feel about America’s most high-profile frownsmiler, it looks like George W. Bush is ready to compete with the best of them. Man! What a frownsmile!
The frownsmile is more an attitude than a simple frown or smile. It’s tricky, because I think the frownsmile can reflect a wide variety of attitudes, ranging from smugness and self-importance on one end of the spectrum, to self-assuredness or even wisdom on the other end.
Of course, this is just one humble frownsmiler’s opinion…
The presidential frownsmile obviously indicates a lie has just been told, and smug confidence that no one will question his “logic” or else daddy will take away everyone’s precious oil.

Better not get me going on the presidential frownsmile….
But, in general: Is it a frown? Is it a smile? Look at the eyes, not the mouth. The eyes don’t lie!

Sorry, I meant “frown-smile”, not “smile”.
